As this fast drew to a close, I was still earnestly seeking God for those things I wanted Him to show me. And those last few days I got what I was asking for. God showed up in an unbelieveable way. I did not post about what I was eating because food became unimportant. I didn't really even care about eating those few days because I was living on spiritual food!
I have found that when we seek God with our whole heart, with every fiber of our being, He WILL answer. The key is to expect that answer. "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." Matt. 7:7 If you ask half-heartedly, don't expect an answer, but when you demonstrate to God that you mean business by fasting and praying, He will be faithful to you.

Day 16
Five more days to go! How are you doing on this fast? Feel free to share your experiences.... don't be shy.... have you found some good recipes? Have you found this hard to do?
I honestly put zero prep work into this week, as far as preparing recipes ahead of time. I basically used up what I had on hand and made it work. When you stick to simple recipes, it makes things easier.
Breakfast: a salad with some turkey, carrots, onion, red pepper, and avocado
Lunch: scallops and the grapefruit, avocado, fennel salad
Snack: Apple and brazil nuts
Dinner: Thai vegetable rolls. A recipe from Raw Food Real World that uses a collard leaf as the wrapper and some nappa cabbage tossed with a spicy sauce that you roll up in the leaf with some mango, sprouts, and carrots. It was tasty.
